Internet Marketing for Doctors.....by Doctors.

Relevant content is content which is meaningful, interesting or memorable on the web.  Content that is not relevant is spam.  Whether on your website or social media platform, your published content has to provide value for it to be consumed.  Relevant content will be opened, read, remembered... and shared.   If your content is meaningless, boring and not relevant...so are you.  Don't spam your audience with non-relevant content.

Scarcity marketing is no longer healthcare's best marketing principle. As sources of health information, practitioners' value to our patients has decreased as Google and the Internet have provided competition. This creates a unique opportunity for health providers to market effectively. The practitioners who rise to the call and provide their own information will be the most successful.

Every website should be a blog.  Period.  Is yours?  Blogs were initially a fad, but the ability to easily add content, the basis of SEO, has established their value as the best website platform.  SEO is based on content. Blogs, aka content management systems, are best suited for SEO and the search engines. Themes/Design of a blog can now be changed easily with a click.  No more custom coding.  No more expense.  

In other words, putting your website on a blog platform allows you to maximize your ability tor get your website ranked and still have a 100% customizable website.  It's the best of both worlds.

Transparency is a funny word in medicine.  We don't use it much in medicine, but it is the method by which you become human and relevant to your audience.  Transparency makes you believable.  Transparency is how you begin the process of engaging your reader.  In the digital age, prospective patients want to know "who you are" and not necessarily "what you are."  This episode discusses the 2.5 types of transparency which are important to your "next" patient.

The goal on the Internet is to establish trust.  How does a healthcare website succeed in developing trust?  Every successful business or brand, must provide value to their customers. Think of the brands you trust;  Costco, Amazon, Sears, etc.  We trust these brands because they consistently provide value to us.  So, too, you must provide value (articles on healthcare) on your website.  This is the first step to developing trust with your followers and getting them to make an appointment. Fortunately for healthcare, providing value is a snap.
